How God birthed this organization in my heart and life:
I got the idea to create WUIP after having a heartfelt talk with a friend who confided in me that she was facing challenges in her marriage. She expressed gratitude and relief about being able to talk to another married woman who could relate to what she was going through. It occurred to me that there were probably many other married women who felt the same way. God confirmed this by continuing to place women in my path who yearned for the same kind of supportive environment. Many just wanted to talk to other married women they could trust, who would not pass judgment and would offer prayer and encouragement. It was then that I began to focus on the prevalence of divorce in our society and discovered that groups that foster this type of sisterhood among young married women are almost non-existent. Hence, I decided to seek other godly women with whom to grow and pray and show the world that marriage still matters!
This organization will focus on the biblical wife that is modeled in Proverbs 31. How can we be more like her and be pleasing to God in today's society? There are certain characteristics you must possess to endure the demands of a successful marriage, career and family. WUIP will be instrumental in teaching the qualities of the "virtuous woman" in any society! Instead of being reactive to the adversities in our marriages, let’s be proactive in keeping our marriage on the right track. We all need more prayer and as women we need to fulfill our emotional needs. It doesn't matter if you've been married one year or ten. Even if you feel there is nothing you need to change or improve in your marriage, join WUIP so that you may be a blessing to others. It's important to be able to rely on a supportive group and rely on the Word of God.
I AM THRILLED TO PRESENT TO YOU...WIVES UNITED IN PRAYER!
"So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate." --Mark 10:8-9
